Let me remind you, people of moneygall, that it is 38 days to the feast of St Flannan. It is also 38 years since we have won the North Senior Football Championship, a championship win that gave us belief, and belief we had, winning back to back senior hurling titles. How things have changed. St Flannan would turn in his grave if he knew the developments,or lack of devolopments as one might put it in the past 20 years. Its time for change, and change there will be. Darryl Kerrigan, an Australian tow truck driver once ;Dsaid ' Location,Location,Location'. As we know the geography of our parish leads to slags and taunts from onlookers. Well no more will we take this verbal punishment. Men Women and Y men of moneygall stand up and be counted. Everybody will unite in our path to success. If one man is struggling to get that blade of grass over his shoulder as he enters the field, then 14 men should throw that blade of grass with him. We should and will be a force in Tipperary hurling. Laois,Mayo,Offally, wherever you are from you will give your all for moneygall. In the 7th century St Flannan, son of an Irish Chieftain made a pilgrimage to Rome where Pope John IV consecrated him and on his return he became first bishop of Killaloe and also preached in the Hebrides.Well let us now, together, hand in hand begin our pilgrimage to Thurles and bring home Dan Breen to a place where he is missed

'The Sparrow fed the Cuckoo so long that its had its head bitten off by its young'. As Toomevara examine their possibilities of an All Ireland Club championship, we must admit our jealousy but also curiosity as to how we have been so long in trying to regain our position as County Champions. The Fool looked at Ceasar in the same way Toomevara look at us. We must contest in both grades.Junior success is a must next year. We have come so close on occasions, from a wind swept Toomevara in 1994 when a penalty to win the game rebounded off the crossbar against an ageing Ballinahinsh Team, to this year when we faded against a determined Ballyneale side who went on to win their first in 108 years of junior hurling. We will use our jealousy to perform and Ceasar will rise. Fellow county men have consistently described Moneygall as a senior 'b' side, both demographically and as a result of recent events. Well let the patrons talk, let us hurl and let that blade of grass fly around the hills of Moneygall. Rise boys Rise'
