And I suppose the reason that the game was lost in the 2nd half of normal time had nothing to do with fitness??? The lack of it!

Lack of fitness and lack of hurling cost us dear in the second half against Ballyneale. we were over run all over the field. too many players think they can go out and hurl championship without training and these so called players were no where to be seen when the going got tough.

Jaysus lads .... just giving my opinion. If i knew why MGall haven't been successful in Junior or Senior championship this discussion wouldn't be taking place, but in answer to the question, my opinion is: Senior: lacking just 1 or 2 county-class players and Toome's dominance Junior: Mental Block! loads of hurlers with ability I still believe fitness (or lack of it) was not to blame for the loss to Ballyneale, in the same way that fitness wasn't to blame for the loss to Roscrea,(when a bigger lead was lost, also in the 2nd half) at senior. I ask again, who were the best 2 - 3 performers over the last 2 junior games, were they the lads who were strapped in harnesses, running around a field in January? - I don't think so. And, Cutter, while you're right that, unfortunately, not one player on the Juniors has a Junior or Senior North final medal, you're forgetting about Minor, U21 and Intermediate North and County medals. But you do have a point, I think success breeds success and if we could win one we could go on and win loads!

Who were the best performers? Certainly wasn't the players with those medals behind them..

See Burgess and Ballyneale are in Co final! Ballyneale will win. So maybe our Junior team weren't so bad after all!!

no body ever said our team was bad just it kills everyone in the parish to see how lazy some of the finest hurlers are. anyway may be next year those lads may want to hurl to thier full potential. and as for that stuff foing on about a split between 'kernies' it sounds stupid. if i heard my four year old daughter sayin stuff like that it would be a problem not 20-23 year old men. lads sort it out and discuss it like men face to face not hiding behind knicknames trying to get in little digs here and there.
