another final thrown away is right dunno what the story is without a doubt the players are there. 1 of the lads on the team has played in seven north finals (junior and senior) and lost them all.. must be a record!

I suppose the selector was no worse than anyone else! what's the problem with lads on a so-called "big day??" - so what changes do ye think will be made for the next day?

The Junior teams problem was simple................Lack of training!! Simple as that. If they had put in some hard work in training during the year than they would have won those last two matches easily.
You win nothing by just showing up as some of the juniors seemed to think this year.
I think only two players on the team trained properly with the seniors this year.

would definitely agree with you there U could c ballyneale were way fitter than us at the end. its no bother winnin the junior league when everyone is unfit but when it comes to close championship games like against burgess and ballyneale we didnt have the answer. some of the players on the junior team are good enough to play senior but too lazy to put in a bit of effort

I think you're a bit out of line striker. Where a junior team is a club's second team, it always has been and always will be the case, that the team is generally made up of 3 types of players: 1. Young, up-and-coming potential senior hurlers 2. Former senior players, who've done their time 3. Players who just aren't good enough or else not dedicated enough to hurl senior
This is why it's a junior team! There may only have been 2 of our hurlers training with the seniors all year, but would you pick them out as being the best performers we had over the last 2 games? - I don't think so. Ballyneale have 1 hurling team - Junior - and were involved in senior Football until 2 weeks ago, and were stronger. But having said that, the game was not lost at the end - in extra time, the game was lost in the 2nd half of normal time.
You're right it was a game that could and should have been won. As for nobody wanting to win, you may have a point...but it's not that nobody wanted to win, it's not enough wanted to win. A number of the players involved on Saturday have won North and County medals, know how to win and know what it takes to win. A very small thing would have turned either game in our favour
